Measuring What Matters: Using Data to Evaluate, Develop and Improve Programs

How do you know if the services your agency provides are effective?

Do you know how your program is being received by clients?

In this training, we will introduce agency staff and administrators to some of the core concepts of program evaluation and provide the tools to help you measure what matters for your organization. We will build comfort around concepts and practice of developing research aims, outcome measurement, data collection, analysis, and presentation of findings for those without a research background. We will use a familiar tool, a logic model, to get you organized and thinking about your program in terms of outcomes and impact.

We will also provide helpful tips for organizing the data that you have, and demonstrate how to use a free, open source statistical software program to conduct basic statistical analyses.

By attending this live training, participants will be awarded 2.5 category I CEs.

The live training is part of a 3-part series. This interactive session will allow participants to apply the material to their own practice, engage in discussion and receive feedback from the facilitators.

There are two supplemental pre-recorded trainings that can be viewed before or after the live training to reinforce the content. Viewing of the supplemental materials can award participants up to 2 category II CEs.
